Moog Commercial Aircraft Group in Tewkesbury is looking for a motivated and reliable individual to join our team as a Night Shift Grinder. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with little to no grinding experience who is eager to learn a skilled trade - full training will be provided.
Working on a permanent night shift, you'll become an essential part of a high-performing manufacturing cell, supporting production targets and helping ensure every component meets strict quality standards. You'll be based in a modern, bright, clean, and well-run shop floor environment.
Training will be completed on day or AM shifts during the probation period.

Shift Pattern: Night shift
- Monday and Tuesday 8.45pm to 6.15am
- Wednesday 9pm to 6.15am
- Thursday 9.15pm to 6.30am
Key Responsibilities
- Learn to set up and operate CNC grinding machines
- Support daily problem-solving and continuous improvement activities within the team
- Carry out inspection checks using manual and automated measuring equipment (training provided)
- Complete self-inspections and quality checks once trained
- Work from engineering drawings, inspection plans, and shop documentation
- Accurately record production and quality data
- Follow lean manufacturing principles, including 5S
- Perform basic preventative machine maintenance in line with company standards
What We're Looking For
- No prior CNC grinding experience required - full training will be provided
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills
- Comfortable working permanent night shifts
- Strong attention to detail and a desire to produce high-quality work
- Ability to follow instructions and progressively work independently
- Good problem-solving mindset and proactive approach
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Basic understanding of engineering or manufacturing (desirable but not essential)
- Willingness to learn how to read engineering drawings and use inspection equipment
