Night Shift Manager
We’re supporting a food manufacturing site in Hull looking to appoint a Shift Manager to lead a key production area.
This is a hands-on leadership role with full responsibility for output, standards, and team performance on shift.
You’ll be managing 5 direct reports, with overall accountability for around 50 employees in a low care environment.
The role:
- Deliver production plans safely, on time, and to required quality standards
- Lead, coach, and develop 5 direct reports across the area
- Drive accountability and performance across the wider team
- Ensure food safety, quality, and compliance standards are consistently met
- Manage issues in real time to minimise disruption and downtime
- Support continuous improvement activity on shift

What we’re looking for:
- Experience in a Shift Manager, Production Manager, or similar role within food manufacturing
- Background in chilled or ready-to-eat products is beneficial
- Strong people leadership skills, with the ability to lead through others
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Clear decision-making and problem-solving capability
