Night Shift Manager

We’re supporting a food manufacturing site in Hull looking to appoint a Shift Manager to lead a key production area.

This is a hands-on leadership role with full responsibility for output, standards, and team performance on shift.

You’ll be managing 5 direct reports, with overall accountability for around 50 employees in a low care environment.

The role:

  • Deliver production plans safely, on time, and to required quality standards
  • Lead, coach, and develop 5 direct reports across the area
  • Drive accountability and performance across the wider team
  • Ensure food safety, quality, and compliance standards are consistently met
  • Manage issues in real time to minimise disruption and downtime
  • Support continuous improvement activity on shift

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience in a Shift Manager, Production Manager, or similar role within food manufacturing
  • Background in chilled or ready-to-eat products is beneficial
  • Strong people leadership skills, with the ability to lead through others
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Clear decision-making and problem-solving capability
