Night Shift Production Team Leader – Cookstown

- Monday – Wednesday: 3:45 pm to 2:15 am
- Thursday: 3:45 pm to 1:15 am
About the Role
Join Terex’s Production Team in Cookstown and take on an exciting opportunity as a Night Shift Production Team Leader.

As a Night Shift Production Team Leader at Terex, you’ll drive both technical execution and team leadership. Working across production, welding, and fabrication, you’ll ensure our manufacturing operations meet safety, quality, and productivity standards—while also stepping in to perform hands-on tasks when needed.
Responsibilities
Your role will encompass the following key duties, balancing production oversight with technical expertise:
Leadership & Production Management
- Lead the night shift production team, ensuring optimal planning of workloads, materials, and resources to meet production targets.
- Collaborate with the Production Supervisor to manage day-to-day operations and guarantee on-time delivery.
- Maintain high standards of quality, productivity, and housekeeping in the production environment.
- Support Lean principles and 5S methodology to promote efficiency and continuous improvement.
- Drive quality and safety initiatives while troubleshooting and resolving production and process challenges.
Technical Expertise
- Perform welding and fabrication tasks, ensuring components meet engineering drawings and specifications.
- Interpret complex engineering drawings and welding symbols with precision.
- Maintain compliance with H&S legislation, quality procedures, and internal audits.
- Apply a methodical, detail-oriented approach to all tasks.

Requirements
Essential
- Proven production experience in a high-pressure, fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Welding or fabrication experience (preferably in heavy equipment).
- Ability to read and interpret technical plans, drawings, charts, and measuring instruments.
- Demonstrated aptitude for troubleshooting, multi-tasking, and self-directed decision-making.
- Strong safety consciousness and experience with H&S compliance.
Preferred
- Previous supervisory or management experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Heavy equipment familiarisation and knowledge of steel fabrication/machine parts.
- Experience with quality systems and discussions around continuous improvement.
Soft Skills
- Team leadership abilities with a people-first mindset.
- Exceptional communication skills (verbal/written) and IT proficiency.
