Job Opportunity: Experienced Warehouse Leader for Night Shift
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced warehouse leader to take ownership of a busy night shift operation, ensuring all warehouse activity is completed safely, accurately, and on time. As the senior operational lead on site overnight, you'll drive performance, lead a team of warehouse professionals, and ensure the operation is fully prepared for the following day's workload.

Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the safe and efficient operation of the warehouse throughout the night shift.
- Manage and support a team of 6-8 Warehouse Operatives and a Night Shift Administrator.
- Allocate labor and resources effectively to meet operational priorities and deadlines.
- Ensure all picking, packing, replenishment, and dispatch activities are completed accurately and on time.
- Conduct shift briefings, communicate priorities, and maintain team engagement.
- Monitor productivity, quality, and service performance against agreed KPIs.
- Investigate and resolve operational issues including stock discrepancies, system problems, and equipment failures.
- Maintain high standards of health & safety, housekeeping, and operational compliance.
- Manage employee attendance, performance, development, and training requirements.
- Ensure accurate shift reporting, documentation, and handovers between shifts.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, quality, and operational efficiency.
- Act as the senior point of contact on site throughout the night operation.

The Successful Candidate:
- Previous experience in a Warehouse Supervisor, Shift Manager, Warehouse Manager, or similar operational leadership role.
- Proven experience managing teams within a fast-paced warehouse, logistics, or distribution environment.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations including picking, packing, replenishment, and dispatch.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and people-management skills.
- Experience managing productivity, quality, attendance, and performance.
- Ability to make confident operational decisions with minimal senior management support on site.
- Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable using warehouse systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Able and willing to work permanent night shifts.
- Experience of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) would be advantageous.
- Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation within a warehouse environment is desirable.
