Job Title: Residential Children’s Home Staff
Scottish Positions Available:
- Entry-Level Support Workers
- Senior Support Workers
- Permanent Full-Time and Bank Positions Loactions: Lewisham, Stratford, and Enfield Age Shane, Embrace challenges, and uplift children along their development journey. In this Supportive and Rewarding environment, you will:
- Work shifts such as Day, Night, Waking Night, and Weekends

Core Duties
Entry-Level Support Worker duties:
- Deliver tailored care plans suitable for children's individual needs, goals, and daily wellbeing
- Develop genuine, trusting relationships to ensure kids feel safe, heard, and respected
- Provide daily care and support through routines, education, hobbies, and day-to-day activities, adapting as co-key worker based on need
- Represent a team-oriented approach, working effectively with both team members and external collaborators.
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of:
- Daily wellbeing records
- Significant incidents
- Interventions via IT systems and reporting tools

Senior Support Worker duties:
- Ensure consistent, safe shift operations, underlying guidance, and serve as a first point of contact for daily concerns
- Take on the role of primary keyworker for assigned young people:
- Initial development, maintenance, and periodic review of comprehensive Care Plans
- Narration and implementation of trauma-informed and attachment-focused approaches, creating emotionally supportive environments
- Proactively manage difficult behaviors using positive behavior support strategies
- Carry out physical restrictive interventions when necessary per the approved protocols of the organization
- Act as the central liaison with external stakeholders:
- Family members
- Social Workers
- Schools
- Health Care Professionals
Essential Criteria
- Being committed and passionate in safeguarding the well-being of children
- Flexibility to adapt to shift schedules, including evenings and weekends

Desirable Criteria
- Valid UK Driving License
- Prior experience (considered 1 year)
- Supporting young people who may have complex needs
- Opportunities in Trauma-Informed care such as:
- Training
- Personal knowledge
- Theoretical knowledge in therapeutic models suited for this role (e.g., PACE and Attachment Theory)
- A Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare
