About the Role
Being part of a young person’s life—especially during the night—means holding the space for their highest highs and lowest lows. As a Night Support Worker, you’ll be integral to helping our young people reclaim their childhood, navigate their challenges, and build a pathway toward adulthood. Yes, this won’t always be easy—but every small win matters.
Our homes care for young people with complex social, emotional, and mental health needs, and we see our role as pivotal in creating the best possible outcomes for them. You won’t just tackle the big moments; you’ll celebrate the huge small victories—because those tiny breakthroughs add up to the most meaningful change.
What You’ll Do
You’ll be our loving, strengthening presence through the night, supporting young people and running the home efficiently. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing urgent, compassionate support—whether for a young person feeling ill, upset, distressed by trauma, or unable to sleep. Your presence can make all the difference.
- Building trust and rapport, becoming someone they feel safe opening up to in difficult moments.
- Assisting with daily care and household duties—paperwork, cleaning, laundry, and maintenance—ensuring the home environment remains positive and functional.
- Recognizing individual needs, personalities, and challenges to guide young people toward stability and growth.
- Collaborating with other support staff to ensure cohesive care and consistency for each young person.
Reasons to use Rodeo
I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
