Night Support Worker
Service: Creative Care – Leicester Complex Care Service Hours per week: 20–40 hrs Hourly Rate: £12.71 Location: Leicester
This role is only open to male applicants.
About Creative Care – Leicester Complex Care Service
Located in Leicester, Creative Care provides a warm, welcoming, and thoughtfully adapted supported living environment for adults with complex care needs. Our service supports individuals with:
- Learning disabilities
- Physical disabilities
- Mental health conditions
- Autism
Each resident has a private, individually designed flat, many with garden access to promote independence and comfort. While some flats offer private outdoor space, all residents still have access to communal outdoor areas.
As a not-for-profit organisation, we deliver 24-hour support, tailored to individual needs, ensuring a safe, therapeutic, and nurturing environment where residents can thrive. Our caregivers use:

This role directly supports individuals with complex needs, including those with behaviours that challenge. Staff work closely with residents, applying evidence-based approaches to enhance quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
Staffing & Development
- Mentor new колleagues during induction to ensure high-quality care.
- Participate in supervision, observation, and appraisal processes.
- Maintain clear and effective communication, including accurate written reports.
Compliance & Organisation
- Follow WCL financial procedures.
- Align with the organisation’s environmental and sustainability principles.

Delivery of Care
- Support and empower residents in a way that aligns with best practice, laws, and support plans.
- Ensure daily activities, medication management, and personal care are delivered effectively and compassionately.
- Advocate for residents’ rights, ensuring their needs, choices, and preferences are heard and respected.
- De-escalate and manage challenging behaviours with calm professionalism.
- Promote satisfaction among residents, families, commissioners, and staff.
- Assist with complaints and safeguarding concerns in line with WCL policies.
Safeguarding Commitment
- Complete Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults and Mental Capacity Act training.
- Recognise and report safeguarding concerns appropriately.
Health & Safety
- Follow health and safety legislation.
- ** Respond safely** in emergencies and use safety equipment correctly.
- Work with management to maintain a secure and accessible environment.
Data Protection & Confidentiality
- Uphold Data Protection Act (2018) and ISO27001 standards.
- Ensure sensitive information is shared securely and responsibly.

Person Specification – Essential & Desirable Qualities
Qualifications (Desirable)
- A recognised health or social care profession qualification.
Experience (Desirable)
- Previous support in complex care, disabilities, mental health, or dementia.
- Experience in providing team-based support.
Technical Skills (Essential)
- Basic numeracy (financial data management).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook).
