About HUGGARD HUGGARD is Wales’ leading centre for adults experiencing homelessness and rough sleeping in Cardiff. As a charity, we provide emergency housing, healthcare, and tailored support to people in crisis. Operating 24/7, our organisation serves as a vital safety net, offering immediate assistance and a safe place to stay.

About the Role

Our Night Workers play a critical role in supporting clients across our Complex Need hostels. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing overnight support to clients
  • Assessing and booking new arrivals into emergency accommodation
  • Ensuring site safety and security
  • Facilitating a stable, safe night’s rest for residents (both emergency and long-term)
  • Organising shift patrols and general maintenance of the hostel environment

Key Details

  • Hourly commitment: 38.5 hours/week
  • Salary: £28,598 per annum
  • Shift pattern: 7 days in 14 (one weekend in two)
  • Shift timings: 8pm to 8am (with a one-hour break)
  • Fixed-term contract until: April 2027
