Night Team Leader - Learning Disabilities

Progressive Care – Residential Team Leader

Progressive Care are a well-known provider of children’s services with over 25 years of experience in delivering outstanding outcomes for our young people.

We are now seeking to recruit a Residential Team Leader to join our team. You will provide first-line management support and care in a CQC registered Learning Disability Transition’s Home for young people and young adults aged between 16 and 25 years. The home is situated in a leafy Sheffield suburb, approximately a mile from the city centre.

Your role includes delivering the night-time care provision under guidance from the Registered Manager or Deputy Manager. You’ll coordinate support with empathy, understanding and demonstrate Progressive Care’s core values and working culture to ensure outstanding outcomes for the young people in your care.

You won’t work alone – a broader team including Facilities Management, IT, HR, Quality Assurance, Psychology, Education, along with mentorship from experienced Registered and Deputy Managers, plus training and staff development opportunities, will provide structured support. Our policy is to train our team to the highest levels and promote internally wherever possible.

We’re looking for experienced professionals who embody our child-centred ethos and can foster environments where young people in their care feel safe, supported, valued, and heard. Our approach celebrates bold aspirations – we never accept average outcomes, but seek to exceed accepted benchmarks for the young people and teams we work with. As Team Leads, you’ll champion change, mentor colleagues to match your high standards, and drive a culture of professional growth through supervision and team training.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
