About the Role
We are seeking reliable and confident individuals to support our client, a 47-year-old man with a C3 complete spinal cord injury (tetraplegia) following a motorcross accident almost 3 years ago.
Our client lives in Buntingford, a town in the east of Hertfordshire with his wife and 2 Great Dane’s Thor & Mav.
Experience of working within the care sector is essential for this role, with real dedication to enabling a client living with severely limited mobility to be live as independently as possible.
Full training for this role will be provided by our in-house community nurse assessor, who works closely with our clients with complex care needs.
Our client requires regular personal care, catheter care and bowel care using a suppository.

The ideal candidate should be:
- Experienced in complex care or spinal injuries desirable (training provided)
- Calm, good sense of humour, emotionally mature and non-judgemental
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently.
- Comfortable working around two very large friendly dogs
- Happy to work with CCTV in operation in the carers’ room and outside the property
Shifts
The shifts for this package are a mix of days and nights: 8am - 8pm / 8pm-8am, in which carers must arrive 15 mins prior to shift start to have handover from previous carer.
