Multiskilled Engineer

Yolk Recruitment is actively working with a leading manufacturer near Talbot Green. The business is entering an exciting phase of growth, with investment planned for 2026—and they're now looking to strengthen their team with the addition of a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer to work on a permanent Nights Shift Pattern.

As a Multiskilled Engineer, this is what you'll be doing:

You'll be part of an established engineering team, working a nights shift Sunday-Thursday—supporting a fast-paced production environment with a range of specialist machinery.

Tasks will include:

  • Maintaining and repairing equipment in line with schedules and specifications to maximise reliability and minimise downtime, including testing, fault finding and repairs.
  • Identifying recurring equipment issues and implementing long-term fixes through root cause analysis.
  • Ensuring all tools and repair equipment are maintained and fit for purpose.
  • Supporting and driving continuous improvement initiatives across the site.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
