Nights Residential Child Care Worker
Location: North Lancashire
- Covering homes based in Lancaster & surrounding areas
Salary: £28,142 - £32,061 Per Annum Hours: Full Time (37 Hours per Week)

Key Details
- You may be expected to work at homes across North Lancashire
- Enhanced pay rates apply for night and weekend work:
- 25% uplift for hours worked between 11 PM and 8 AM (if you start before 6 AM)
- Up to 33% additional pay for weekend work (if part of the contractual week)
- Note: These enhancements do not apply to shift workers.

About Us
Our Children’s Residential Service is expanding due to the opening of a new home in the area.
We believe that every child deserves expert care and support, with a focus on:
- Developing positive, meaningful, and long-lasting relationships
- Promoting fun, creative activities (both inside and outside the home)
- Supporting children to grow in all areas of life
These children cannot stay with their families due to adverse childhood experiences or trauma. Our Residential Support Workers provide 1:1 support for children around emotions and behaviors. This team also liaises with professionals such as social workers, teachers, police, and health workers to address children’s needs.

What Night Staff Do
- Ensure safety while the children sleep
- Provide a supportive presence if children wake in the night
- Improve the well-being of children when adult staff are off-duty
