#Warehouse Team Leader – Markham Vale Operation, Chesterfield
About the Role
We are looking for a confident and hands-on Warehouse Team Leader to join our Markham Vale operation in Chesterfield.
This is a full-time, permanent position working a 4 on, 4 off night shift from 18:00 – 06:00.

Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Support the Shift Manager in leading, motivating, and developing the warehouse team to ensure service excellence.
- Guarantee productivity, quality, health & safety, and customer service standards.
- Play a pivotal role in maintaining a smooth-running operation and meeting customer expectations.
Daily Duties
- Lead, organise, and support a warehouse team across the operation.
- Drive shift performance to meet productivity, service, and operational KPI targets.
- Promote health, safety, hygiene, and compliance, ensuring all processes and records are accurate.
- Conduct quality and compliance checks to meet audit and customer standards.
- Deliver team briefings and maintain clear communication.
- Support goods-in and warehouse operations, ensuring stock efficiency.
- Coach and develop team members to maximise performance and career progression.
- Support people processes, including investigations, disciplinary, and grievance matters.

Salary & Hours
- Hourly rate: £15.88/hour (breakdown: £13.13 base + £1.00 Team Leader allowance + £1.75 shift allowance)
Requirements
Essential Experience & Skills
- Previous warehouse experience, ideally in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior team-leading or supervisory experience in logistics/warehousing.
- Strong communication skills—clear and confident information-sharing.
- Ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines in a busy operations setting.
- Track record of motivating teams and delivering/exceeding targets.
- Confident with IT systems, software, and computer applications.
- Approachable, supportive, and professional in interactions.
