Description
We have an exciting new opportunity to join our F1 Evolution team as a No. 1 Mechanic. Our F1 Evolution team are a dedicated group who play a unique role in preserving the past within the wider F1 environment, specialising in maintaining, preparing, and operating our heritage cars for Demo Events (DE), Testing of Historic Cars (THC), and Testing of Previous Cars (TPC).
As a No. 2 Mechanic within F1 Evolution, you will play a critical role in the build, preparation, and maintenance of allocated cars and equipment, ensuring the highest standards of safety, presentation, and operational performance at every event. Supporting the wider team in delivering successful F1 Evolution Team events, demonstrations, and running programmes, you will help ensure our cars are prepared, reliable, and presented to the highest possible standard.
Key Responsibilities
Build and maintain allocated cars and garage areas for all F1 Evolution events within required timeframes Ensure correct parts are fitted in line with allocations, engineering drawings, build manuals, and specifications Carry out consistent safety checks on cars and report all issues to the No. 1 or Chief Mechanic Support the build and maintenance of spare component assemblies Adhere to all required documentation, build procedures, and specifications Assist with garage set-up and pack-down at all F1 Evolution events Support winter pit equipment servicing and rebuild activities Communicate effectively, including adherence to radio protocols during events Ensure all cars, parts, drawings, and procedures remain secure and aligned with team guidelines

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Strong experience as a mechanic within F1, F2, F3, or other high-level motorsport environments Excellent working knowledge of race cars and car assembly Thorough understanding of car set-up and event requirements before, during, and after events Strong ability to interpret allocations, engineering drawings, build specifications, and schedules Excellent organisational and communication skills Ability to remain calm and perform effectively under pressure in time-critical situations Flexible, proactive team player with a strong work ethic Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and confident in decision-making Willingness to travel extensively and work flexible hours in line with the event calendar
