Lab Technician

Starting Salary: £35,000 | Full Training Provided | 4 on / 4 off Continental Shifts

Looking for a long-term career with excellent prospects? We're recruiting several Lab Technicians to join an advanced manufacturing business that is investing heavily in its future following significant international investment and a major expansion of its UK operations.

No previous laboratory experience is necessary. If you're dependable, have a strong eye for detail, enjoy hands-on work and are keen to develop new skills, full training will be provided.

Whether your background is in manufacturing, production, assembly, warehouse operations, cleanrooms, laboratories or another technical environment, we'd be interested in hearing from you.

Before You Apply

Please Ensure You're Happy With The Following

  • Permanent 4 on / 4 off continental shift pattern
  • 2 x 12-hour day shifts followed by 2 x 12-hour night shifts
  • Four consecutive rest days after each shift cycle
  • The site is in a rural location, so your own transport is required
  • You'll be working in a controlled cleanroom environment whilst wearing full PPE
  • A positive approach and willingness to learn are essential

Working Hours

4 on / 4 off Continental Shift Pattern

  • 2 Days: 7:00am - 7:00pm
  • 2 Nights: 7:00pm - 7:00am
  • 4 Days Off

About The Role

Working within a highly controlled manufacturing facility, you'll support the production of specialist high-precision components used in advanced technologies.

Your day-to-day duties will include:

  • Operating specialist manufacturing equipment
  • Carrying out detailed inspections using microscopes
  • Recording production information on computer systems
  • Ensuring products meet strict quality standards

This is a structured role within a growing organisation where you'll receive comprehensive training, ongoing support and genuine opportunities to progress your career.

Main Responsibilities

  • Carry out manufacturing activities within a cleanroom environment
  • Follow detailed work instructions and quality procedures
  • Inspect products using microscopes and specialist inspection equipment
  • Operate precision manufacturing machinery
  • Input production information accurately onto internal systems
  • Maintain high standards of quality, safety and cleanliness
  • Work collaboratively to achieve production targets

What We're Looking For

  • Excellent attention to detail
  • A reliable and positive attitude
  • Willingness to learn new processes and skills
  • Comfortable working in full cleanroom PPE
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Previous experience within manufacturing, production, laboratory, cleanroom or technical environments would be advantageous but isn't essential
