Commis Chef
As a Commiss Chef, you will support the kitchen brigade in delivering exceptional dishes that reflect the quality, creativity, and consistency of Nobu Hotel London Portman Square. Working closely with the Head Chef and wider culinary team, you will assist with food preparation, maintain the highest standards of hygiene and organisation, and contribute to a smooth and efficient kitchen operation.
This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate chef looking to develop their skills within a luxury hotel and internationally recognised culinary brand.
You Will
- Assist with the preparation and presentation of dishes to Nobu standards
- Ensure your designated section is organised, stocked, and ready for service
- Follow recipes, portion controls, and brand guidelines with consistency and attention to detail
- Maintain the highest standards of food hygiene, allergen management, and health and safety
- Receive and store deliveries correctly, ensuring quality and stock rotation standards are maintained
- Keep kitchen equipment clean, safe, and report any maintenance issues promptly
- Communicate effectively with the wider kitchen and restaurant teams throughout service
- Support and welcome new team members into the kitchen
- Attend team briefings and contribute ideas to improve quality and efficiency
- Be available to support other kitchen areas when required
- Demonstrate a proactive, positive, and team-focused approach to work
