Critical Role: Head of Network & Platform Operations

The Role
We are looking for a Head of Network & Platform Operations to oversee the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and optimisation of our critical Voice & IP Platform/Network Infrastructure.
This pivotal role ensures the stability, performance, and scalability of our platform to supportGamma’s business objectives.
Reporting to: Head of Product & Voice Ops
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Platform & Operations Leadership
- Oversee the health, performance, and availability of our Core Platform/Network Infrastructure
- Lead incident response and resolution, minimising downtime and user impact
- Continuously monitor and optimise platform performance through performance tuning and capacity adjustments

Team & Process Excellence
- Identify opportunities to automate routine tasks and processes, improving efficiency and reducing errors
- Manage and develop a high-performing team of Duty Managers & Lead Platform Engineers
- Develop personal and team growth strategies for the NOC Engineering team
- Oversee integration of operational support functions into the broader NOC Engineering team
Collaboration & Strategy
- Work closely with development, engineering, and other teams to align the platform with business goals
- Identify and implement strategies to improve service quality via enhanced maintenance and troubleshooting processes

- Proven interpersonal, written, oral, and analytical skills
- Exceptional team player with a proactive, collaborative mindset
Skills & Experience
Eligibility and experience requirements are flexible—we’re particularly interested in candidates with:
- Prior experience managing large-scale telco/IP networks
- Hands-on responsibility for planning, preparation, and implementation of infrastructure changes (e.g., SBCs, Juniper Routers, Telco-grade PBX systems)
- Familiarity with modern DevOps practices and tooling
- A track record of creating and executing training and development plans for teams
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Self-starter mindset with strong organisation and collaborative strengths
