About The Role

We are currently seeking a skilled Node.JS Application Developer to join our team at Accenture’s Advanced Technology Centre in Newcastle. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects within a vibrant, innovative environment. As a Node.JS Application Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and configuring applications that align with business processes and client requirements. The role requires a proactive individual capable of working independently, demonstrating technical expertise, and contributing to team discussions and problem-solving activities. You will have the chance to work with leading technologies, including AWS serverless architecture, TypeScript, JavaScript, and MongoDB, to deliver high-quality solutions for our clients. This position involves a hybrid working model, requiring a minimum of three days per week onsite at our Newcastle office, located in Cobalt Business Park.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background with proven experience in Node.js development. Essential qualifications include proficiency in Node.js and AWS serverless environments, along with expertise in build management, design, and build enablement. Experience with TypeScript, JavaScript, and MongoDB is also required. Candidates should demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to work independently as a subject matter expert, and a collaborative mindset to contribute effectively within a team. Due to the nature of client work, candidates must be willing to undergo a Security Clearance process, which necessitates having a UK address history spanning at least five years at the time of application.

Responsibilities

In this role, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Designing, building, and configuring applications to meet specific business and technical requirements.
  • Actively participating in team discussions, providing innovative solutions to complex problems.
  • Conducting code reviews and offering constructive feedback to peers to maintain high-quality standards.
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvements to enhance application development efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Staying updated on the latest technological advancements and best practices, applying them to current projects.
  • Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams and clients, ensuring seamless communication and delivery of solutions that meet or exceed expectations.
  • Flexibility to work onsite and travel as needed for client engagements to ensure the successful delivery of services.
