Noise Logging Technician
Trainee Field Technician Vacancy
We are recruiting for a number of Trainee Field Technicians who will be covering your local area. You will be required to assist in leak detection activities, pinpointing water leaks on the network.
Requirements
- Full UK manual driving licence required (this will involve some trips using company vehicles)
No prior experience is required—full training is provided.
Role Details
- Working hours: Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week (flexible working hours available)
Compulsory Training & Qualifications
- EUSR Water Hygiene Training
- Unit 2: Street Works
The Role
Your core responsibilities will include:
- Deploying and retrieving loggers (small metal listening devices) within DMA (District Metered Areas) for water companies.
Key Daily Duties:
- Install 80–100 loggers per day (usually on fire hydrants, customer furniture, valves)
- Retrieve loggers after 24 hours to download noise data for leak analysis (loggers capture leakage sounds between 2:00 AM–4:00 AM, typically measured in Decibels)
- Manual work required including lifting, stretching, bending, and some driving (long hours may be needed)
