About the Team
The Real Estate team is recognised as one of the UK's leading commercial property practices, advising on some of the largest and most complex real estate transactions in the market. The team acts for an impressive client base including institutional investors, developers, lenders, corporate occupiers, landlords, tenants, public sector organisations and major national and international businesses.
Lawyers within the team advise across the full spectrum of non-contentious real estate work, including acquisitions and disposals, investment transactions, commercial leasing, asset management, development projects, regeneration schemes, real estate finance, corporate support work and large-scale portfolio management. The team is regularly instructed on high-value, strategically significant matters spanning multiple sectors including offices, retail, logistics, life sciences, healthcare, student accommodation and mixed-use developments.

You will also become part of the firm's wider Knowledge Lawyer community, working alongside specialist Knowledge Lawyers across multiple practice areas to support innovation, legal technology initiatives and the continued development of market-leading knowledge resources.
The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Real Estate lawyer to move into, or continue developing within, a Knowledge Lawyer position that sits at the heart of one of the firm's strategic growth areas.
Working closely with partners and fee earners across the London Real Estate practice, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining and enhancing the team's knowledge resources, ensuring lawyers remain at the forefront of legal and market developments. You will analyse new legislation, case law and regulatory developments, transforming complex legal updates into practical guidance, precedents, playbooks and training materials that improve the consistency and quality of advice delivered to clients.
Alongside maintaining technical know-how, you will provide strategic support on complex legal issues, helping lawyers navigate challenging technical points across a broad range of commercial property transactions while contributing to the continued development of market-leading precedents and best practice.
You will play a visible role within the team by designing and delivering engaging internal and client training programmes, supporting business development initiatives, producing thought leadership and collaborating with marketing and business development teams on client-facing publications.

Innovation will form a key part of your remit, with opportunities to help shape the firm's knowledge management strategy through the use of AI, legal technology and modern knowledge-sharing tools. You will also work closely with the wider Knowledge Lawyer network to promote best practice and drive continuous improvement across the business.
This role offers an excellent opportunity for a technically strong Real Estate lawyer seeking a more strategic position while remaining closely connected to complex legal issues and contributing directly to the success of a market-leading team.
Requirements
- Be a UK qualified solicitor with 5+ years' PQE in non-contentious Real Estate or an experienced Knowledge Lawyer/PSL with a strong commercial property background.
- Demonstrate extensive experience across a broad range of commercial real estate matters, including acquisitions and disposals, landlord and tenant work, investment transactions, development projects, asset management, real estate finance and corporate support.
- Possess exceptional technical, analytical and drafting skills, with the ability to interpret complex legislation and legal developments into clear, practical guidance.
- Be confident delivering training, presenting to colleagues and clients, and producing high-quality knowledge resources and thought leadership.
- Have a collaborative approach with strong organisational skills, able to manage multiple projects while building relationships across legal, business development and knowledge teams.
- Demonstrate a genuine interest in legal innovation, knowledge management and the effective use of legal technology and AI.
