The Opportunity

Our Non-Financial Risk (NFR) practice is growing, and we are looking to strengthen our senior leadership team at the centre of that growth. We already have an established capability, a strong client base across UK and European financial services, and a clear mandate to scale. We are now looking for someone who can help us take that next step — winning new work, leading complex engagements, and raising the bar across the team.

The Role

This is a role for someone who wants to do more than deliver. You’ll be energised by building client relationships, shaping propositions, and developing people, while bringing a genuine interest in risk and regulatory advisory. It’s an opportunity to combine hands-on delivery with broader leadership — contributing not just to client work, but to the growth and direction of the practice itself.

Why Join Us

We’re at a pivotal stage in our journey: established enough to have credibility and a real client base, but with enough runway for the right person to make a meaningful impact. You’ll work alongside experienced practitioners, have access to senior leadership, and be given the space to build something of your own — whether that’s client relationships, a team, or your profile in the market.

Who We’re Looking For

If you’re a strong NFR practitioner who is ready to step into a broader leadership and growth role, we’d love to hear from you.

What You'll Do

Client Delivery

  • Lead the delivery of non-financial risk engagements spanning operational risk, third-party risk management, and operational resilience.
  • Act as a senior advisor to clients on the design, enhancement, and embedding of risk management frameworks, governance arrangements, and regulatory compliance capabilities.
  • Bring structured thinking and clear communication to complex, often ambiguous mandates — and ensure your teams do the same.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Business Development

  • Identify and progress new business opportunities across existing and prospective clients in the financial services market.
  • Shape compelling proposals and client solutions that draw on the breadth of the practice's capabilities.
  • Represent the firm in the market — through client conversations, industry events, and thought leadership — building your own profile and ours.

Practice Building

  • Contribute to the development of NFR propositions, methodologies, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Work with leadership to sharpen our positioning in a competitive market and identify the next areas of growth.

People Leadership

  • Provide coaching, feedback, and development support to consultants and managers across the team.
  • Foster a culture of high performance, intellectual rigour, and genuine collaboration.
  • Act as a visible role model for the standards and behaviours we want the practice to be known for.

What We're Looking For

Experience & Expertise

  • Significant experience in non-financial risk, gained in financial services, management consulting, industry or specialist risk advisory — ideally a mix.
  • Deep expertise in at least two of: operational risk frameworks, operational resilience, third-party and outsourcing risk, conduct and compliance, or enterprise risk governance.
  • Solid understanding of the UK and European regulatory landscape — PRA, FCA, EBA, DORA, and their evolving expectations around NFR.
  • A track record of leading substantive risk transformation, regulatory change, or control framework programmes — from shaping the approach through to delivery.

Consulting & Commercial Skills

  • Strong consulting instincts: structured problem-solving, clear written and verbal communication, and the ability to hold your own with senior client stakeholders.
  • Experience of business development — you should be comfortable in client conversations and have contributing to winning work.
  • Commercially aware, with an understanding of how consulting engagements are scoped, priced, and run profitably.

Leadership

  • Experience leading project teams and developing more junior colleagues — with genuine commitment to the people dimension of the role, not just the delivery one.
  • Comfortable operating with a degree of autonomy in a growing, fast-moving environment where not everything is defined in advance.

Qualifications

  • A relevant degree or equivalent professional experience. Professional certifications in risk, audit, or compliance (e.g. IRM, CISA, CRISC, CF) are valued but not required — we care more about what you've done than what's on paper.
