About the Role
BDO UK is looking for a bold, entrepreneurial Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead our Client Manager, Tax Services, delivering exceptional financial insights and shaping strategic direction for high-growth businesses.

Responsibilities

Leadership and Strategy:
- Provide bold financial leadership and strategic oversight to drive client small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
- Act as a trusted advisor to client management teams, offering feasible tax and financial strategies tailored to growth ambitions.
- Champion innovation to enhance BDO’s service delivery and client satisfaction, fostering the company’s entrepreneurial spirit.

Client Growth & Relationships:
- Build and nurture high-value relationships with key decision-makers across target clients.
- Identify opportunities to expand service offerings to clients driven by sustainable, long-term outcomes.
- Work closely with colleagues to grow and retain client engagements.

Team Leadership & Culture:
- Inspire and support a team that’s proactive, client-focused, and aligned with BDO’s values.
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders across BDO to ensure alignment with broader strategic goals.

Innovation & Adaptability:
- Stay ahead of economic, regulatory, and industry trends to deliver intelligent, tailored tax advice and solutions.
- Embrace flexibility and curiosity to adapt quickly to market changes or client needs—just as our clients do.
Key Requirements
- Experience & Expertise:
- Proven track record as a CFO or equivalent financial leadership role, particularly within tax-advisory, accounting, or finance for high-growth businesses.
- Extensive experience dealing with UK SMEs, demonstrating an understanding of how they operate, their challenges, and opportunities for financial planning.
- In-depth knowledge of tax strategies, financial regulations, and best practices.
- Consistently achieves high individual performance, setting an example for excellence.
