Northzone Asssociate (UK)

Northzone is excited to expand our investment team with another team member in our London office. We are a high-performance and low-ego team that is very tight-knit, so each person is core to our success. We are looking for someone in the early innings of their career who wants to develop as an early-stage investor. This is a full-stack investor role across sourcing, diligence, networking, thesis building, and portfolio support. If you get energized from networking, are curious, intellectually honest, and highly analytical, you will thrive here. What you’ll be doing: Sourcing - Be the eyes and ears of Northzone. You will be responsible for uncovering new deals, forming authentic relationships with the next generation of visionary entrepreneurs across multiple sectors and markets. How you do this is up to you! Diligence - Work closely with the broader investment team on rigorous market, financial, and commercial due diligence that underpins every investment decision. Here is an example of how we make gut-based decisions, driven by data. Ecosystem connector - Represent Northzone in the UK and broader European tech ecosystem. Connect with founders, investors, operators, and customers to build a network that will be your greatest asset. Thesis Building - Develop proprietary investment ideas in new markets, leading to deep sector expertise over time. Here’s an example of how we dove deep into a sector, ultimately leading to an investment. Portfolio support - Partner with our portfolio founders and their teams on strategic initiatives, gaining unparalleled operational exposure. We are a connected, global team. You will have multiple opportunities per year to meet our colleagues across the European and NYC offices, fostering the vibrant culture we’re proud of. We actively encourage new team members to drive new initiatives, and we offer a clear path to build leadership skills and grow within the organization. We're looking for: Network Catalyzers: You intuitively know where the best founders and ideas are brewing. You have a genuine passion for connecting with entrepreneurs and are deeply plugged into the tech world. Analytical Rigor: You can spot commercial trends with ease and derive powerful insights and decisions from limited data. You possess a quick, insightful 'gut-check' for what is truly exciting, but also back up your opinions with data. Low-Ego Builders: You are a self-starter who thrives on autonomy and doesn't need close management. Your curiosity draws you into new areas, and you consistently strive for greatness while celebrating your colleagues' successes. Early-Career: You bring 1–3 years of experience from a high-intensity, rigorous environment such as banking, consulting, or venture capital. A significant plus is experience working at a high-growth startup. Right to work in the UK Competitive base + bonus 25 days holiday Generous parental leave, above and beyond statutory requirements Health, vision & dental benefits Several off-sites with the team each year Wellness budget About Northzone Northzone (northzone.com) is a global multi-stage venture capital firm built on decades of experience spanning multiple economic and disruptive technology cycles. Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
