Main Purpose of the Role
We are recruiting a freelance Danish SEO Specialist to support our SEO team. In this position, you will play a critical part in enhancing our SEO efforts, including:
- Conducting keyword research
- Utilising keyword planners
- Optimising content and on-page SEO
- Supporting metadata and copywriting
Main Duties
(Note: This is a non-exhaustive list of key responsibilities)
- Conduct keyword research
- Manage keyword planning (keyword planners)
- Optimise metadata (e.g., titles, descriptions, schema markup)
- Content optimisation for search intent and performance
- On-page SEO (technical optimisations, internal linking, hence)
- Perform keyword translation for SEO (English ↔ Norwegian & Norwegian ↔ English)
- Handle data management and reporting for SEO campaigns
- Develop SEO-driven copywriting
Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a recognised college/university in a related field or equivalent professional experience.
Experience
- Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in SEO
- Strong working knowledge of:
- HTML and JavaScript (SEO-focused)
- Basic coding (writing/reading structures for SEO implementation)
- Native proficiency in Norwegian, with deep cultural understanding
- In-depth expertise in search engine best practices across:
- Bing
- Baidu
- [and other relevant engines]
- Proven ability to deliver measurable SEO results
- Advanced proficiency in Google Analytics, SiteCatalyst, or WebTrends (or equivalent tools)
- Detailed Excel knowledge for data analysis, reporting, and trend-spotting
- Mastery of third-party SEO tools such as:
- Screaming Frog
- SEMrush
- Ahrefs
- Majestic SEO
- (and similar platforms)
- Superior organisational/time management skills (multi-tasking, priority-setting, meeting deadlines)

Additional Technicals
- Multi-channel marketing awareness: how SEO interacts with displays ads, affiliates, social media, email, print, TV campaigns
- A licensed Office 365 installation for core task execution
