Freelance Danish SEO Specialist

Main Purpose of the Job

We are seeking a freelance Danish SEO Specialist to join and support our SEO team. In this role, you will play a key part in enhancing our SEO efforts by conducting keyword research, utilising keyword planners, and optimising content, among other responsibilities.

Main Duties

The following is a non-exhaustive list of responsibilities and areas of ownership for this role:

  • Keyword Research
  • Keyword Planning
  • Metadata Optimisation
  • Content Optimisation
  • On-Page Optimisation
  • Keyword Translation (English to Norwegian and Norwegian to English)
  • Data Handling and Management
  • SEO Copywriting

Requirements

Education Level

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a college or university in a related field, or equivalent work experience

Experience

  • A minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience in SEO.
  • Strong working knowledge of HTML and JavaScript for SEO (with basic skills in writing and reading code).
  • Native-level fluency in Norwegian and a strong understanding of Norwegian culture.
  • In-depth understanding and proficiency in applying best practices for various search engines, including Google, Bing, Baidu, and others.
  • Proven ability to deliver successful results through SEO initiatives.
  • Experience with analytics tools such as Google Analytics, SiteCatalyst, and WebTrends.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel for data analysis and reporting.
  • Expertise in using third-party SEO analysis tools including Screaming Frog, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Majestic, and similar platforms.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to set priorities and meet deadlines consistently.
  • A solid understanding of how other online and offline marketing channels—such as display ads, affiliates, social media, print, TV, and email—interact with and influence SEO.
