We are looking for an ambitious Audit Manager with a passion for the not for profit sector to join our award-winning team based in our Midlands office. You will be joining the leading firm of auditors to the charity sector, committed to delivering quality service to our high-profile portfolio of clients.

This role will involve working with a diverse range of charities and not for profit organisations, including:
- Start-ups
- Well-established not for profits
- Household-name charities (including INGOs, grant makers, schools, academies, membership organisations, professional bodies, and housing associations)
- Many are ranked among top 100 charities

Key Responsibilities
Assistant Managers are responsible for:
- Coordining teams and managing multiple assignments efficiently and on time.
- Managing a portfolio of audit clients, including:
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Ensuring work is delivered within agreed budgets and deadlines from planning to completion.
- Acting as the principal client contact throughout the year.
- Working under tight deadlines, multitasking, and time managing client appointments.
- Preparing and presenting reports to senior management, Audit Committees, and Boards.
- Directing, coaching, and mentoring audit teams to ensure project delivery.
- Proactively engaging in business development, including proposal and presentation preparation for new work.
- Potential involvement in wider assurance services for clients.
- Participating in team and firm-wide activities and training.

Requirements
Technical Skills & Experience
- Qualified ACA, ICAS, or ACCA.
- Fluent in Excel and Word.
- Strong technical knowledge of auditing and accounting standards, with an advantage (but not requirement) of:
- Experience in charity audits.
- Familiarity with NPO sector regulations (e.g., Charities SORP).
- Excellent people management skills for mentoring junior colleagues.

- An interest in the not for profit sector.
