Join Our Innovation Team

We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented NPD Packaging Technologist to join our dynamic New Product Development team.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for food manufacturing and packaging innovation to play a key role in bringing new products from concept through to launch. Working closely with NPD, Technical, Operations and Production teams, you’ll help ensure our packaging is fit for purpose, compliant, commercially viable and delivered to the highest quality standards.

If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same and take pride in delivering exceptional products to some of the UK’s leading retailers, we’d love to hear from you.

What You’ll Be Doing

As our NPD Packaging Technologist, you’ll support the successful development and launch of new and existing products by:

  • Managing packaging requirements throughout the NPD process.
  • Creating and maintaining packaging specifications, quality assessment documents and line standards.
  • Producing accurate theoretical nutritional information and supporting product documentation.
  • Supporting factory trials, collecting trial data and ensuring packaging performs effectively during production.
  • Working collaboratively with Process Technologists, Technical, Production and Commercial teams to deliver successful product launches.
  • Preparing retailer submission documentation and ensuring it is completed accurately and on time.
  • Managing packaging samples and coordinating courier shipments where required.
  • Maintaining packaging databases and documentation to ensure compliance and version control.
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the NPD function.
  • Assisting with project administration, budget tracking and general team support as required.
  • Contributing to internal audits and ensuring all documentation meets customer and company standards.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
