Are you a seasoned program manager ready to help bring advanced protection, automation, control, software and digital grid solutions to market — and support the future of the global energy grid? GE Vernova is looking for an exceptional NPI Program Manager to join our Grid Automation and Software team.
Stafford, United Kingdom is the preferred base location, although other approved GE Vernova locations may also be considered, subject to business needs and local employment requirements.
GE Vernova – The Energy to Change the World
With over 130 years of experience and proven innovation, GE Vernova is leading a new era of energy. We are electrifying the world while working to decarbonise it. Our name reflects our mission. “GE” carries a legacy of quality and ingenuity. “Ver” signals Earth’s lush ecosystems, while “Nova” nods to a new era of lower-carbon energy we are helping to deliver.
Focused on the future, GE Vernova is accelerating the shift to reliable, affordable and sustainable energy. We help customers power economies and deliver electricity vital to health, safety and quality of life. Our Electrification solutions modernise grids, enable renewable integration and strengthen energy systems. From software to power conversion and storage, we help create smarter, more resilient energy networks.
Let’s Talk About the Role
The NPI Program Manager – PAC will lead the execution of New Product Introduction programmes across the Protection, Automation and Control portfolio within Grid Automation and Software. This is a programme execution role, focused on overseeing a portfolio of product development projects from early assessment and project initiation through to commercial launch.
Each product initiative may have its own project manager, typically connected to R&D or Engineering. The NPI Program Manager will sit across the portfolio to ensure alignment, visibility, governance, execution discipline and timely escalation.
Working closely with Product Management, R&D, Engineering, Industrialisation, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, Regulatory, Marketing, Sales, Services and regional teams, you will help transform product strategy into executable plans and successful market introductions.
You will act as a key execution focal point: removing blockers, ensuring project managers and workstreams remain aligned, tracking programme health, supporting decision-making, and keeping senior stakeholders informed through clear reporting and governance.
This is a role for someone who thrives in complex, global, matrix environments; brings structure to ambiguity; and knows how to keep diverse technical, operational and commercial stakeholders moving in the same direction.
How You Will Make a Difference
- Lead programme-level execution across a portfolio of NPI and product development initiatives within the PAC portfolio.
- Oversee project execution from early assessment, planning and stage-gate governance through to launch readiness and commercial release.
- Ensure project managers and workstreams are aligned on priorities, milestones, deliverables, dependencies and critical decisions.
- Coordinate cross-functional activity across Product Management, R&D, Engineering, Industrialisation, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Procurement, Quality, Regulatory, Marketing, Sales, Services and regional teams.
- Remove execution barriers, facilitate timely decision-making and escalate critical issues where required.
- Establish and maintain integrated programme plans covering technical development, industrialisation, validation, certification, manufacturing readiness and commercial launch.
- Monitor programme health through milestone tracking, schedule performance, budget monitoring, risk management and executive reporting.
- Build and maintain programme risk registers, identifying technical, operational, commercial, regulatory, supply chain and resource risks.
- Organise programme reviews, gate reviews, steering committee meetings and senior stakeholder updates.
- Coordinate launch readiness activities, including manufacturing readiness, training, documentation, certifications, product data, service enablement and commercial release.
- Support the transition from development into sustaining operations.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of NPI governance, execution methodology, planning practices and programme management processes across the portfolio.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
