NPI Technologist

Location: Craigavon

Contract: Permanent, Full time

About The Role

We are looking for a driven and detail-oriented NPI Technologist to support the successful launch of new and existing products across our site. Working closely with the NPD Teams and cross-functional teams, you’ll play a key role in ensuring products move seamlessly from concept through trials to full-scale production.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about food manufacturing, innovation, and delivering high-quality products in a fast-paced environment. Please note this role will require regular travel to other sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of right-first-time product launches in line with site and customer expectations
  • Coordinate and support product trials, pre-production and first production runs
  • Collaborate with internal teams including NPD, Commercial, Engineering, Quality, and Production to meet critical paths
  • Ensure all technical validation, documentation, and compliance requirements are completed (HACCP, shelf life, nutritional data, etc.)
  • Assist in managing project timelines and workload within the NPI team
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including yield, efficiency, and cost-saving opportunities
  • Support pre-launch meetings and ensure all product documentation is accurate and complete
  • Maintain and develop technical and legislative knowledge within food manufacturing
  • Assist in the creation and management of quality documentation, pack sheets, and product specifications
  • Support delivery of KPIs and business performance targets

About You

  • A strong communicator with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Able to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
  • Confident working cross-functionally and building relationships at all levels
  • Knowledge of food safety, legislation, and labelling requirements
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Full clean drivers license

Experience & Qualifications

  • Experience within food manufacturing or product development (essential)
  • Relevant food-related qualifications (desirable)
