# Assistant Lawyer – Employment Rights (NQ-PQE Position)

This Assistant Lawyer position (ideal for lawyers with 0–2 years’ post-qualification experience) offers an exciting opportunity to sharpen your skills in employment rights law. Based in Manchester, this role provides hands-on experience working within a highly reputable legal team.

Key Responsibilities
- Case Management: Responsibility for independent case management within a structured supervisory framework
- Trial Experience: Active involvement in trial preparation and hearings across the full employment rights spectrum (e.g., unfair dismissal, harassments, discrimination claims)
- Bilateral Negotiations: Opportunity to negotiate on behalf of clients in and out of court
- Collaboration: Contribute to the team’s success while receiving personalised mentorship
- Continuous Development: Support given to upskill in emerging areas of employment law
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- Qualified Lawyer (with 0–2 years’ PQE) with a proven aptitude for employment law claims
- Demonstrated ability to manage busy caseloads effectively while meeting tight deadlines
- Strong legal research and writing skills
