NQ / Junior Associate
Catastrophic Injury & Large Loss (Employers' Liability & Public Liability)
At Clyde & Co, we are looking for a talented NQ to 2 years PQE Associate to join our highly regarded Catastrophic Injury & Large Loss team in Manchester.
This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside leading lawyers on complex, high-value Employers' Liability and Public Liability claims for major insurer and corporate clients. You will gain exposure to some of the most challenging and sensitive cases in the market while developing your technical expertise within a supportive and collaborative team.
About The Team
Our Catastrophic Injury & Large Loss team handles every aspect of complex personal injury claims, including liability investigations, policy coverage issues and quantum assessments. Acting for leading insurers and self-insured organisations, we provide strategic advice on life-changing injury cases and large loss claims.
As part of an expanding national practice, you will work closely with a Partner and Senior Associate on high-profile matters, while enjoying excellent opportunities for professional development, client exposure and long-term career progression.
What You'll Be Doing
You Will
- Assist with and manage a varied caseload of catastrophic injury and large loss claims.
- Conduct investigations, obtain witness statements and review medical records and expert evidence.
- Liaise directly with insurers, corporate clients, counsel and experts to drive claims forward.
- Draft legal documents, advice and reports.
- Support the handling of interlocutory proceedings, CCMCs and client meetings.
- Manage files proactively and strategically, ensuring compliance with court timetables, client SLAs and MI requirements.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through technical excellence and exceptional service delivery.
- Contribute to business development, marketing initiatives and wider team growth activities.

About You
We're interested in hearing from candidates who:
- Are qualified solicitors with 0-2 years PQE.
- Have experience of personal injury litigation.
- Have exposure to catastrophic injury, large loss, Employers' Liability or Public Liability claims.
- Enjoy tackling complex legal issues and developing specialist expertise.
- Are organised, proactive and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills and a client-focused approach.
- Are committed to delivering a high-quality service and meeting client expectations.
