NR249718 - Audiology Receptionist
Receptionist (36 hours per week) – Audiology Department, Woodend Hospital, Aberdeen
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and conscientious individual to join the Audiology Department at Woodend Hospital in Aberdeen.
The Receptionist role is extremely busy, handling a high volume of workload with daily interaction across all service functions.
About the Role
- A key support role ensuring smooth operations in the Audiology Department
- Must demonstrate excellent administrative skills, a pleasant and friendly manner, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- A confident, caring, and empathetic demeanour is essential when dealing with patients, staff, and the public via calls and face-to-face interactions
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook preferred)
- Previous reception/administrative experience is advantageous

✅ Education: Good standard of education required
✅ Skills & Qualities:
- Strong communication skills in both written and verbal contexts
- Highly organised with the ability to manage a fast-paced workload
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and apply professional ethics
- Excellent customer service orientation, showing genuine care and empathy
- Comfortable using digital systems and basic IT applications

✅ Experience & Knowledge Preferred:
- Prior administration/reception experience
- Familiarity with NHS procedures would be beneficial—though not mandatory
- Ability to assist clinic teams with patient enquiries, scheduling, and documentation
