NHS Grampian: Two Full-Time Oral & Maxillofacial Consultant Vacancies (Head & Neck Oncology / Reconstructive Surgery)
Location: Aberdeen Royal Infirmary (ARI), Aberdeen Contract: Permanent, 40 hours per week
About the Role
NHS Grampian is seeking two full-time Oral & Maxillofacial Consultants with expertise, or a strong interest, in Head and Neck Oncology and Reconstructive Surgery, to join the established department at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary (ARI).
These posts will play a key role in developing our Head and Neck Oncology service, requiring collaboration across specialities in a multidisciplinary environment.
Key Responsibilities
Consultants will be expected to:
- Provide comprehensive expertise across all major branches of Oral & Maxillofacial surgery
- Contribute to the growth and enhancement of our Head and Neck Oncology pathway
- Work collaboratively with colleagues (oncology, plastic surgery, radiology, nursing, etc.)
- Deliver high-quality, patient-centred care in a multidisciplinary setting
- Support the learning and development of junior colleagues and trainees
The posts are permanent and full-time (40 hours weekly), based at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.
Requirements
Essential
- Must be fully registered with the General Medical Council (GMC) (licence must be in place before starting)
- UK-trained candidates must hold (or be within six months of entering) Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT), or be eligible for Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration (CESR)
- Must be **fully registered with the General Dental Council
- Thorough knowledge of optimal pathological management pathways in Head & Neck Oncology
