Nuclear Medicine Radiographer BANK

About the Role

To work as a highly responsible qualified radiographer within the Nuclear Medicine team. Work safely and accurately with radioactivity, undertaking high-quality imaging and post-processing of images for an efficient and effective imaging service.

Responsibilities

  • Determine and deliver the most appropriate radionuclide imaging procedures to assist with diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of patients and conditions.
  • Perform daily tasks on:
    • A GE670 Discovery (due for replacement and upgrade in 2026)
    • A Siemens Intevo Symbia 6
  • Work as part of the multi-disciplinary team to provide an efficient and effective service for patients.

Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Calculate, manipulate, and safely inject radioactive doses into patients.
  • Maintain excellent record-keeping skills.
  • Scan patients for a variety of nuclear medicine procedures.
  • Post-process and evaluate the results of the scans.

Essential Requirements

  • Minimum qualification required: postgraduate qualification in Nuclear Medicine.
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with:
    • Patients and the public
    • Medical staff, nurses, healthcare professionals, managers, and support staff.
  • Adherence to the HCPC Code of Professional Conduct.
