Nuclear Medicine Cardiologist – Part-Time Position ChristianaCare

INITIAL SHIFT DETAILS
- Schedule: Part-time (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, 2–3 days)
- Hours: 20 weekly (possibility for additional locations)
PRIMARY FUNCTION
Provides diagnostic cardiac imaging under Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and state regulations, supporting physicians in disease treatment and diagnosis.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performs nuclear medicine stress tests and EKG monitoring for adults/geriatric patients.
- Ensures compliance with state/federal regulatory standards (NRC, JCAHO).
- Handles secure storage of radioactive materials as per department policies.
- Administers/reports radiopharmaceuticals with accuracy, including IV injections and calculations.
- Completes daily/monthly/annual equipment quality control testing (cameras, hot-lab tools).
- Maintains NMIS hot lab record-keeping systems and patient documentation.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: Associate’s degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology (experience may substitute).
- Certification: ARRT (Nuclear Medicine) or CNMT.
- Licensing: State of Delaware Authority on Radiation Protection – approved.

COMPENSATION
- Pay range: $38.22-$52.55/hour (exact offer based on qualifications/experience).
