About The Role

As a Nuclear Security Officer, you'll be part of a professional team responsible for keeping people, property, and assets safe. No two days are the same, and you'll play an important role in creating a secure environment for employees, contractors, and visitors.

Your Duties Will Include

  • Welcoming, assisting, and managing access for employees, contractors, and visitors.
  • Conducting security checks, vehicle inspections, and pass verification.
  • Carrying out site patrols using security systems and vehicles where required.
  • Responding professionally to incidents and emergencies.
  • Maintaining accurate records and incident reports.
  • Working closely with colleagues, emergency services, and security partners to maintain site safety.
  • Ensuring security procedures and regulatory requirements are followed.

Who We're Looking For

You May Be Suitable If You Have

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • A commitment to providing excellent customer service.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • A willingness to learn and develop new skills.
  • Previous security experience (desirable but not essential).

A full UK driving licence is preferred but not essential.

SIA licensing and security clearance support can be provided where required.

Shift Pattern

  • 4 on, 4 off rotating shift pattern
  • 2 x 12-hour day shifts
  • 2 x 12-hour night shifts
  • 4 days off

Includes weekends and public holidays.
