Your role
In This Role, You Will Have The Opportunity To
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to solve technical challenges across the full project lifecycle, from concept design through to decommissioning.
- Contribute to key process engineering deliverables, including:
- Process sizing calculations.
- Heat and material balances.
- P&IDs.
- Apply your interest and expertise in process modelling and process safety activities such as HAZID/HAZOP studies and DSEAR assessments.
- Partner with colleagues across AtkinsRéalis to provide technical expertise where it adds the greatest value for clients.
- Work across a variety of environments, including client-embedded roles, site-based assignments, and in-house engineering delivery across the nuclear sector, including new build, novel nuclear, and nuclear fusion.
- Contribute to delivering high-quality, thoughtful engineering solutions with a strong focus on client outcomes.
- Continue building your skills and confidence within a collaborative and purpose-driven team.

- You enjoy guiding and supporting others, and feel comfortable contributing to the leadership of a small team.
- You bring an awareness of the commercial side of engineering work and feel confident engaging with clients in a clear and thoughtful way.
- You have a strong foundation in Chemical or Process Engineering (BEng/MEng), with IChemE chartership achieved or in progress.
- You're curious about the nuclear industry whether through direct experience or transferable learning and bring an understanding of its fundamentals.
- You're energised by technical problem-solving and may bring experience or interest in areas such as process simulation tools or model-based systems approaches.
- You communicate clearly and effectively in both written and verbal formats, and value open, collaborative working.
- You find fulfilment in mentoring and developing junior engineers and are motivated to contribute meaningfully to the team's success.

Security clearance
This role may require security clearance and offers of employment will be dependent on obtaining the relevant level of clearance. If this is necessary, it will be discussed with you at interview.
