Nurse (2–6 shifts per month) Wanted at UK Vein Care in Carlisle
Are you an experienced nurse looking to join the largest clinic group for varicose vein treatment in Europe? UK Vein Care operates a number of clinics across the UK, specialising in and leading the way in varicose vein treatment. We are now looking for a skilled nurse on a part-time basis (expected 2–6 shifts per month) for our clinic in Carlisle.
The role is primarily based at our Carlisle clinic, with occasional travel to our clinics in Scotland (Livingston/Glasgow) and Preston/Manchester. Any travel is always planned well in advance — typically 1–3 months or more — so you can arrange your schedule with plenty of notice.
At UK Vein Care, our staff bring a high level of expertise, and we work continuously to develop it further in order to meet the high ambitions we set for ourselves. Your work will primarily involve the day-to-day running of the clinic, as well as assisting during procedures.
UK Vein Care is part of Nordic Health Group, which operates clinics across several European countries. We are a company that makes room for personal development, so there is real scope to fulfil your ambitions to grow and take on more responsibility if you wish. We place great value on quality, efficiency, and professional development. We also invest in developing our people's skills, so you will be part of an organisation that can help you build your professional capabilities.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
