Nurse Educator – Degree Level Nursing Programmes
Location: Taunton Type: Higher Education Curriculum Team (NMC-Approved Programmes)
We are looking for a dynamic, innovative, and highly motivated nurse to join our curriculum team in Taunton to support the success of our degree-level nursing programmes and empower students to thrive. In partnership with the University of the West of England (UWE), these roles sit within our clinical teaching and assessing team.
About the Role
UCS College Group collaborates with employers across the Somerset Integrated Care System to create local solutions for nursing education, including widening participation for diverse communities. The post-holder will play a key role in:
- Delivering and assessing direct-entry nursing programmes
- Teaching and mentoring on apprenticeship nursing programmes
- Supporting students in Taunton’s Clinical Skills & Simulation Centre
- Leading and teaching, alongside UCS teaching teams
- Serving as an academic assessor for student nurses across Somerset

Person Specification
Essential:
- Current ADULT registration on Part 1 of the NMC register
- A recognised degree qualification in nursing or relevant healthcare discipline
Desirable:
- Prior experience as a nurse educator or educator in a healthcare setting
- Commitment to teaching and assessing nursing education in higher and degree-apprenticeship pathways
