THE EDUCATION COORDINATOR

THE EDUCATION COORDINATOR is responsible for all educational activities provided by the hospital. Educational programs are to be offered to all employees, patients, and the community and coordinated by the Education Office. The Education Coordinator will assist the department managers with patient education when needed and comply with hospital standards to perform job expectations.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and registered or eligible for registration as a Registered Nurse
  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in a health related field preferred
  • Minimum of five (5) years experience as a staff nurse with broad exposure to different areas of health care required
  • Previous hospital educational experience preferred
  • Ability to organize programs and identify educational needs of employees, patients, and the community
  • Ability to support and implement administrative decisions
  • Required to obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) training
