Functional Assessor
Salary & Benefits
- Base Salary: £40,000 – £50,000
- Additional Pay & Bonuses:
- Guaranteed £2,000 salary uplift within your first year (subject to approval milestones and contract)
- One-off approval bonus of 5% of salary
- Up to 10% annual performance bonus based on quality and performance
- Competitive salary progression: £1,000 uplift after 6 months (PIP only) and £1,000 after 12 months (subject to approval)
Working Pattern
- Full-time: Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm
- Part-time hours available

- No weekends or night shifts
About the Role
As a Functional Assessor, you’ll leverage your clinical expertise in a fresh and impactful way. This role lets you conduct functional assessments for individuals applying for health-related benefits.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform and document functional assessments with clarity and accuracy
- Apply clinical judgement for varying physical and mental health conditions
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals
- Uphold accurate records under clinical governance and quality standards
- Engage in ongoing training, CPD, and clinical supervision
- Deliver assessments with empathy, professionalism, and integrity

Requirements
To apply, you must:
- Be a registered healthcare professional (Nurse, Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, Paramedic, or Pharmacist)
- Have at least 12 months’ post-registration experience within the last 5 years
- Have no current practice restrictions
- Demonstrate:
- Strong communication skills
- Effective assessment techniques
- Clear, high-quality report-writing
