Nurse Functional Assessor - Weymouth

Functional Assessor

Salary & Benefits

  • £40,000 - £50,000 annual salary
  • Guaranteed £2,000 salary uplift after your first year (subject to approval milestones and contract)
  • One-off approval bonus of 5% of your salary
  • Up to 10% annual performance-based bonus (based on quality and performance)

Working Pattern

  • Full-time (Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm) – Flexible part-time options available
  • No shift work, weekend shifts, or night shifts

About the Role

As a Functional Assessor, you'll leverage your clinical expertise in a new, fulfilling way by conducting functional assessments to support individuals applying for health-related benefits.

This role allows you to:

  • Apply clinical judgement for fair and accurate assessments
  • Work in a structured environment with comprehensive training

You’ll be part of a multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality, evidence-based assessments, delivering consistency and support throughout your career.

What You’ll Do

  • Conduct functional assessments and produce clear, accurate, high-quality reports
  • Use clinical judgement to assess a wide range of physical and mental health conditions
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals
  • Maintain accurate records, adhering to clinical governance and quality standards
  • Engage in ongoing training, continuing professional development (CPD), and supervision
  • Deliver assessments with empathy, professionalism, and integrity

What You’ll Need

To be considered, you must:

  • Be a registered healthcare professional (qualifications include Nurse, Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, Paramedic, or Pharmacist)
  • Have at least 12 months’ post-registration experience within the last 5 years
  • Have no current restrictions to practice
  • Demonstrate strong communication, assessment, and report-writing skills
