Functional Assessor
Salary & Benefits
- £40,000 - £50,000 annual salary
- Guaranteed £2,000 salary uplift after your first year (subject to approval milestones and contract)
- One-off approval bonus of 5% of your salary
- Up to 10% annual performance-based bonus (based on quality and performance)
Working Pattern
- Full-time (Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm) – Flexible part-time options available
- No shift work, weekend shifts, or night shifts

About the Role
As a Functional Assessor, you'll leverage your clinical expertise in a new, fulfilling way by conducting functional assessments to support individuals applying for health-related benefits.
This role allows you to:
- Apply clinical judgement for fair and accurate assessments
- Work in a structured environment with comprehensive training

What You’ll Do
- Conduct functional assessments and produce clear, accurate, high-quality reports
- Use clinical judgement to assess a wide range of physical and mental health conditions
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals
- Maintain accurate records, adhering to clinical governance and quality standards
- Engage in ongoing training, continuing professional development (CPD), and supervision
- Deliver assessments with empathy, professionalism, and integrity
What You’ll Need
To be considered, you must:
- Be a registered healthcare professional (qualifications include Nurse, Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, Paramedic, or Pharmacist)
- Have at least 12 months’ post-registration experience within the last 5 years
- Have no current restrictions to practice
- Demonstrate strong communication, assessment, and report-writing skills
