Nurse Trainer – Medical Law Services (MLS)
Location: Hybrid policy – Able to travel to one of the office locations (Manchester, Southport, Liverpool, Leeds) Internal applicants: 6-month secondment | External: Fixed-term Hours: 35 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm) Salary: £35,000
About the Role
The Nurse Trainer provides leadership, role modelling and drives vision through learning and development, ensuring competency and meet needs of the team. This role is critical in developing and delivering educational programmes to advance nursing knowledge, practise, and professional growth.
The Nurse Trainer combines clinical expertise with teaching skills to equip nurses with high-quality products and informed decision-making in-line with healthcare standards, NICE guidelines, and medical law provisions.

Main Responsibilities
- Support training for new starters throughout the 12-week probation period
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programmes
- Build and maintain training reference guidelines and procedures
- Assist with internal AI-powered systems (e.g. MeRM IADD) for new starters and Nurse Analysts
- Act as a mentor and role model for nursing staff, fostering long-term professional development
- Conduct classroom training sessions ensuring alignment with healthcare standards and current NICE guidelines
- Stay current with legal knowledge on breach, causation, and nursing practice
Essential Skills & Experience
- Strong presentation and training skills in a clinical/nursing context
- Highly motivated, organised, and proactive
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining excellence
- Capable of teamwork and remote collaboration
- Minimum 3–5 years’ post-qualification experience in NHS or clinical practice
- NMC-registered nurse
- 6–12 months’ experience in a paginated nursing role (preferred)

Desirable Qualifications, Skills & Experience
- Experience using Proclaim software or similar tools (e.g. Excel, MeRmaid software)
- Familiarity with AI training/learning systems (e.g., MeRMIADD)
