Role Description
This is a part-time (3 afternoon, 7-hour shifts a week), on-site Nurse role based in Buckinghamshire HP16, focused on supporting a client with Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) in their own home. The Nurse will provide high-quality, person-centred clinical care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for an individual with complex needs.
Daily responsibilities include:
- Monitoring and managing symptoms related to ABI
- Administering medication and treatments
- Documenting care accurately
- Responding promptly to changes in a client’s condition
The role involves close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, families, and other support professionals to ensure coordinated and consistent care. The Nurse will also promote independence, safety, and wellbeing, support rehabilitation goals, and contribute to continuous improvement in care practices and outcomes.

Qualifications

- Clinical expertise in nursing, with proven experience caring for individuals with Acquired Brain Injury or other complex neurological conditions.
- Strong assessment, care planning, and risk management skills, with the ability to respond effectively to changes in clinical presentation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build trusting relationships with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Commitment to person-centred care, safeguarding, dignity, and respect, with a compassionate and professional approach in homecare settings.
- Relevant nursing qualification (e.g., Registered Nurse) with current registration and compliance with professional standards and local regulations.
- Experience in community or home-based nursing is highly beneficial, as well as familiarity with rehabilitation-focused care and support plans.
- Strong organisational and time-management abilities, including accurate record-keeping and adherence to policies, procedures, and clinical governance.
- Willingness to participate in ongoing training and development related to complex care and ABI, and to contribute to service quality improvement.
