Nursery Assistant (Claverham Community College)
About the Role
A position as Nursery Assistant is available at Claverham Day Nursery in Battle, East Sussex.
- Hours of work: 37 hours per week
- Working pattern: Full-time
- Closing date for applications: 17 July 2026
The nursery is seeking a qualified individual who shares their commitment to creating a safe, stimulating, and fun environment where children can thrive through exploration and learning.
Requirements
Eligible candidates must possess the following qualifications or equivalent experience:
- NVQ Level 3 in Childcare and Education (or relevant equivalent qualification).
Responsibilities
The successful applicant will:
- Be an enthusiastic, excellent Early Years practitioner, capable of:
- Engaging children by planning and participating in play-based activities that address their physical, intellectual, and emotional needs.
- Collaborating with the supervisor to design a stimulating and purposeful learning environment.
- Act as a key worker, building a close, caring relationship with their allocated children and maintaining effective communication with parents and carers.
- Demonstrate flexibility while working closely with other EYFS team members.
- Show a commitment to continuing professional development.
