Assistant Nursery Manager (Maternity Cover - 12-month contract)

Salary from £33,904 per annum
We’re looking for an inspiring leader to join our amazing team as an Assistant Nursery Manager at our Ottershaw nursery!
If you’re passionate about early years, love supporting people, and have the drive to help a nursery grow and thrive, we’d love to hear from you. Working alongside the Nursery Manager, you’ll help lead the team, ensure the highest quality of care and education, and play a key role in promoting the nursery and managing occupancy.

Key tasks and responsibilities:
- Lead Quality and Compliance: Ensure the nursery meets all Ofsted, EYFS, and legislative requirements through high-quality practice, regular audits, and hands-on support in rooms.
- Inspire and Support the Team: Engage actively with children’s learning and development while guiding, developing, and supporting staff across all areas — from daily practice to performance and wellbeing.
- Drive Success and Growth: Work closely with the Nursery Manager to manage budgets, occupancy, and staffing, contributing to a thriving, high-quality setting for children and families.

Located on Brox Road in Chertsey, our nursery is easily accessible from the M25 and set in a charming, historic former schoolhouse, providing a warm, inviting environment.
Our spacious garden encourages sensory and exploratory play, fostering curiosity and creativity.

In addition to a full and relevant Level 3 qualification and DBS check, the ideal candidate will also have a higher childcare qualification and/or a management or leadership qualification. Please be aware that candidates who do not have the relevant experience cannot be considered.
