Role: Nursey Assistant/Unqualified Nursery Practitioner
Location: Grasshoppers Day Nursery, Aylesbury | HP21 9PD
Contract: Permanent | 20 hours/week | 52 weeks/year
Hours
Monday–Friday, 07:30–09:00 & 16:00–18:30
Salary
£26,769.60 per annum (pro-rata) | £12.87 per hour

This Role: In Detail
You're ideal if:
- You have enthusiasm for working with babies/toddlers (0–5 years), or retained experience from unrelated childcare settings.
- You’re deeply interested in Early Years (EYFS) and demonstrating:
- Creative indoor/outdoor planning/promotion of play-based learning.
- Observation/assessment techniques to track developmental progress.
- You embody the Core Principles of Safeguarding:
- Actively supporting children in good mental, physical and emotional health.
- Reporting concerns swiftly and appropriately, per training.
- You treasure collaborative teamwork and prioritise engaging communication with:
- Children, parents, or more experienced practitioners.
- Including accurate written reports and progress logs.
