Nursery Chef
Location: Haslemere - GU27 2AT Hours: Full-time, 40 hrs per week (08:00-17:00, Monday to Friday) Salary: Up to £26,728
With a passion for food and nutrition, a proven hygiene qualification, and experience working in a kitchen, you thrive in an environment where cleanliness, dietary awareness, and organisation are at the forefront of your work. You possess excellent time management and budgeting skills, and can deliver a variety of nutritious meals across the day on schedule.
About the Role
You will be responsible for:
- Serving meals and snacks to children to ensure healthy, nutritious sustenance throughout the day.
- Maintaining 5-rated hygiene standards* in a clean and organised kitchen, adhering to all health and safety procedures.
- Preparing, cooking, and storing food to very high standards.
- Coordinating food supply ordering within a set budget.
- Supporting educational activities through hands-on involvement with children in cooking-based workshops.
- Ensuring dietary requirements (including allergies and intolerances) are properly managed at all times.

Essential Requirements
- Proven experience working in a kitchen, preferably in a childcare setting.
- Level 3 qualification in basic food hygiene (essential).
- Strong understanding of food allergies and intolerances.
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage time and budget effectively.
- A satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) background check.
- Commitment to maintaining the strictest hygiene and safety standards.
