Hours Full-time, 40 hours per week (08:00-17:00, Monday to Friday)
Salary Up to £26,728
About the Role
You’ll be responsible for serving meals and snacks to all the children in our Nursery. Working in a kitchen that’s rated 5★ for hygiene, you’ll maintain our high standards of hygiene and cleanliness, complying with all necessary food preparation and storage procedures to keep a clean and well-functioning kitchen. Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing and serving a wide range of healthy, nutritious meals and snacks.
- Ordering food supplies within an agreed budget and coordinating catering activities.
- Ensuring excellent time management and budgeting skills.
- Taking the lead in cookery-based activities with the children.

Requirements
With a passion for food and nutrition, you’ll need:
- A good hygiene qualification and previous experience working in a kitchen.
- Solid understanding of the importance of hygiene, cleanliness, and dietary requirements.
- Excellent organisational skills, especially in following health and safety procedures.
- Proven experience managing various allergies and intolerances.
- A satisfactory DBS check (enhanced required for this role).
