Job Title: Food Preparation & Service Learning Assistant (Nursery Kitchen)
Location: Haslemere – GU27 2AT Hours: Full-time, 40 hrs per week (08:00–17:00, Mon–Fri) Salary: Up to £26,728
About the Role
You’ll be responsible for serving meals and snacks to all the children at our Nursery. Operating within a 5★ hygiene-rated kitchen, you will maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness, ensuring compliance with food preparation and storage procedures to keep the kitchen running efficiently.
Key responsibilities include:
- Serving healthy, nutritious meals and snacks at set times to children in the nursery.
- Preparing and cooking meals while adhering to strict food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness guidelines.
- Managing food ordering and inventory within an agreed budget.
- Supporting cookery-based activities with children.
- Complying with all health and safety, safeguarding, and dietary requirement regulations.

Requirements
Here’s what we’re looking for in our candidate:
- A strong passion for food and nutrition.
- A good understanding of hygiene practices, cleanliness, and dietary needs.
- Proven experience working in a kitchen (required).
- A Level 3 qualification in basic food hygiene (essential).
- Strong time management, organisation, and budgeting skills.
- Experience in managing allergies and intolerances.
- Capability to work as a hardworking, organised, and collaborative team player.
- A satisfactory DBS check (mandatory for this role).
